Listening to The Pogues- Fairytale of New York
I never make New Year’s resolutions, per se. Usually, I welcome in the new year with a dram of Scotch and a good movie; Leap Year is a trusted favorite. And in the truly fortunate years, there is someone by my side to kiss me sweetly when the clock counts down. Then I make a promise to myself to simply be a better version of me in the coming year. I hope that what lies ahead, will be filled with joy, that I will have the strength to face whatever challenges come my way, that I will birth goodwill into the world in whatever small ways that I can, that I will have the capacity to accept where I am along my journey and the courage to surrender and go wherever the universe wants to lead me.
I will park an old Irish blessing here.
May good luck be with you wherever you go, and your blessings outnumber the shamrocks that grow. May your days be many and your troubles be few. May all God’s blessings descend upon you. May peace be within you. May your heart be strong. May you find what you’re seeking, wherever you roam.
Happy New Year!
