 Synopsis:

The Dang Contraption was always supposed to open up a portal. Gram spent years building it after the strange disappearance of her brother, Altamont. Now, it might actually work. When it malfunctions and puts Gram in a coma, Micah turns to the only person he can trust to help him, his ex-best friend, Carson.

Without warning, the boys are sucked through a whirlpool and cross into another dimension. But things are rotten in the town of Paradise, and it can’t be a coincidence that they were brought here. Neither can, discovering that Micah’s great uncle is living here and that he is married to Charybdis, daughter of Poseidon, and who is definitely not a sea monster.

Unraveling an evil plot to destroy Paradise will not be easy if Micah and Carson can’t stop fighting. And without teamwork, all hope may truly be lost.
